To Whom It May Concern or Just Everybody

I want to thank everyone for making 2009 so successful- from the fans in the audience to our great sponsors and least but certainly not last, our ‘second to none’ Competitors.

2010 will be one of the most exciting years ever since the beginning in 2001 when we began our journey as ”The Greater Knox Classic”. We skipped a year in 2004 and started back in 2005 at the University of Tennessee-Alumni Memorial Building. 2008 brought the dropping of the “Greater” in the title shortening the name to just simply “Knox Classic” continuing our journey. With everything a competitor has to remember it just made perfect sense to make things more convenient. Even the web site knoxclassic.com couldn’t more easy to remember. Now… 2010 brings new -exciting *people, *ideas and *awards.

The new exciting people to join the Knox Classic is, Knoxville’s very own IFBB PROS - Peter ‘PUMP’ Putnam and his beautiful wife, Jessica Putnam. I am so happy to have them on board!! For those of you who do not know the history - Back in 2005, Peter entertained us on stage with his first public ‘guest poser’ appearance, thus starting his journey for IFBB PRO Status.. Jessica achieved her Figure Pro Status a year later. They both have worked very hard, supporting each other with determination, heart and love for each other and the sport of Bodybuilding. Peter obtained his IFBB Pro status in 2008 and in 2009 he came back to the Knox Classic as our IFBB PRO guest poser. He and Jessica both have graced our stage many times and if you have seen any professional magazines in the last 4 years, you know them well. Now, to have them join me, with their knowledge and support, gives every competitor more reasons to step on our stage. Today, more than ever before, we need more passion for our competitors, and no one has more passion than Peter and Jessica...well except for maybe me.

The new exciting idea is a ‘National Qualifying’ idea. This will be the first year that the Knox Bodybuilding Figure & Bikini Classic will be a National Qualifier!! I personally think this is one of the best ideas we have had yet.

The new exciting awards will be- well you will just have to wait until August 7, 2010...
